Beyonce denies catfight

Beyonce is furious about co-star Jennifer Hudson’s star turn in the soon-to-be-released "Dreamgirls".
Hudson is so powerful and luminous in the film that Beyonce has
been giving her the cold shoulder. At a recent Oprah taping, she
hugged and greeted everyone and pointedly avoided Jennifer. Her
parents Tina and Mathew Knowles snubbed Hudson at a screening
of the film, and reportedly even asked the director to re-edit the film
so that Beyonce wouldn’t be overshadowed.
Whats a diva to do when her fury becomes a major story? Deny it, of course!
She claims that "It’s really unfortunate that everyone is saying I’m
jealous of Jennifer. It hurts my heart because it’s so clichéd. …
They’re saying that I’m mad when I knew going into this that I was
playing Deena. Because I’m a star they just automatically assume
that I’m not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am."
Even her denial reeks of jealousy. "I mean," she adds, "I wish I
could’ve gained 20 pounds and played Effie [Hudson’s part]."
Asked if she’d really have packed on the weight for the part, Knowles
said, "Yes. I absolutely would have, but Bill [Condon, the movie’s
writer-director] didn’t even believe that I could be Deena. So imagine if
I would’ve said, ‘Bill, I want to be Effie.’ "
Well, Beyonce… you’d better keep those denials coming. Hudson is
already generating Oscar buzz!
