All eyes on Al Gore at the Oscars
Who knew Al Gore’s documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" being nominated for an Oscar would lead to an an evening of "guess if he’s a presidential candidate"?
In an Oscars devoid of suspense, Al Gore provided the buzz.
In speech after speech he was showered with praise. Leonardo DiCaprio asked the question most directly in a comedy bit as he and the former VP stood on stage together.
"Wouldn’t you like to announce something?" Leo demanded forcefully.
A reporter for US Weekly was even bugging him about it backstage! "Gore makes it plain: He has no plans to seek office again. Why would he? He’s having too good a time as a comic. He joked to me, ‘I was president of the Senate, so that’s okay,’"
Though he still remains out of the race, Gore Fever is reaching Global Warming temperatures. His movie not only won Best Documentary but even snagged Best Song out of the clutches of more obvious choice "Dreamgirls"! Sorry Beyoncé!

Lindsay to ask Al Gore for help
So much for those assertions that Lindsay is cleaning up her act.
She has a habit of writing spaced-out e mails and sending them to everyone she knows. Her latest has reached new levels of bizarre.
Even though it’s her own whacked-out behavior that has brought recent criticism, she apparently sees herself as a victim, and, unbelievably, a role model.
She sounds eerily stalker-like as she says, "Al Gore will help me. If he is willing to help me, let’s find out."
What bizarre crisis is she acting out in her head now? "It’s my life. I want to live it. People cannot lie and think that it is okay to continue on having done so. I have had many ups and downs, as do we all. But to make false accusations to one girl is unjust in my opinion."
Displaying her sense of self-importance, she says she wants to state her opinions on "how our society should be educated for the better of our country. Our people . . . because I have such an impact on our younger generations, as well as generations older than me. Which we all know and can obviously see."

Gore rips into Bush on Today Show!
This morning on NBC, former Vice President Al Gore called Iraq the “worst strategic mistake in the history of the United States.”
He urged President Bush “to try to separate out the personal issues of being blamed in history for this mistake and instead recognize it’s not about him. It’s about our country and we all have to find a way to get our troops home and to prevent a regional conflagration there.”
Despite the fact that he says he’s not going to run for president in 2008, Gore sure is sounding like a candidate!
