Beyonce’s a video queen
Beyoncé is one of the hardest working women in the music biz. She cranked out eight videos in two weeks for her new DVD, "B’Day Anthology Video Album."
"I always wanted to do a video album," Beyonce said, noting that her fans "can watch it whenever they want and not have to go to YouTube." Yes, Beyoncé… but YouTube is free!
She told AP Television News she was able to pull off the rigorous shooting schedule because everyone was well-rehearsed and prepared: "I knew all the choreography before I started filming the videos. I knew what every hairstyle was going to be before I did it. I knew what every look (was going to be); as far as the makeup and the wardrobe, we already had the fittings," she said.
Such organization skill — maybe she should take a trip to the White House to give Bush tips on how to get it done!

Oscars Fashion Frenzy
This year’s Oscars was a well-run Ellen-fueled machine. The awards lauded obscure flicks like "Little Miss Sunshine", finally noticed Scorcese, and featured Jack Black and Will Farrell hitting on Helen Mirren in a singing skit. And, of course, the fashion parade made a stir!
Penelope Cruz knew she had no chance against the mighty Jennifer Hudson juggernaut, so she wore an elaborate feathered fiasco that would trip her if she had to stumble to the podium!

Class act Cate Blanchett was featured in several nominated movies, and though she laughingly told Seacrest she wasn’t expecting to sleep with Oscar tonight, she wore celebratory silver anyway!

Beyonce’s smoking ad blows
Beyoncé is under attack for grasping a cigarette holder in a poster that has been featured in billboards and newspapers across the country. Anti-smoking group Quit has written to the Federal Department of Health, saying the tour ad could be in jeopardy of the Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act!
Quit executive director Todd Harper said the ad promotes and gives publicity to a smoking product, which is against the law. He said Beyonce was badly advised and did not need to be photographed with the cigarette to make herself appear more sophisticated.
"She is so talented and she doesn`t really need to do this."
No comment from Beyoncé’s camp… hope they remember Smokey’s friends don’t play with matches!

Lily Allen has made a career out of being a British shit-talker who writes some not bad songs. She’ll even talk crap to Teen People magazine!
She tells them:
What do you make of American Idol or the British show X-Factor? It’s really sad that that’s what music has come to, because I don’t really see them as music shows. I see them as TV shows with people covering songs. It doesn’t have anything to do with musicianship because it’s not writing. Music is an art form and it’s not something just to be messed around with and made money out of. There are lots of people out there who have been working for years and years, really putting a lot of blood and guts into it. So for people to come along and just because they’ve got nice boobs and a nice haircut and kind of do some vocal acrobatics, they take a place in the music industry. It’s very sad.
You’ve been labeled an ‘It’ girl so we were wondering what you thought of some of the others that share that title. What do you think of Jessica Simpson?
I’m definitely not into her music.

How about Beyoncé?
I love Beyoncé. She’s great. She’s a really amazing singer. And if she does write all of those songs, she’s an amazing songwriter as well.

I don’t know. There’s something not likeable about her. I don’t know what it is.
